Why it happens
Nails scrabbling on the boards. The back legs sliding out sideways for a second before he catches himself. You help him up, and you both carry on.

Without pads, then with
The hardest part isn't the slipping. It's watching a dog decide the kitchen isn't worth the risk.
Traction breaks the loop at the first step — before he stops moving, and before the muscle goes.

How it works
Trim the hair between the pads. Dry paws hold far better than damp ones.
Peel the backing, press firmly for a few seconds. One pad per paw.
No settling-in period. He has grip from the very first step.
Up close
Sits under the paw — toes and nails stay free to grip.

Sizing
Measure the widest part of his main paw pad with him standing. Breeds are a guide, not a rule — a stocky beagle and a lean one take different sizes. Between two, size up.

Straight answer
These are a wear item, not a permanent fix. A set lasts around 3–4 days of normal indoor use — longer for a calm dog on carpet, shorter for a dog who drags a paw or spends time outdoors on rough ground.
That's exactly why every pack holds multiple full sets, so he's covered for weeks rather than days. And if a single pad lifts early, replace that one — not the whole set.
Try them on your floors. If they don't help, or he won't tolerate them, email us within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund you.
Questions
Most dogs stop noticing within a few minutes, because the pad sits underneath the paw rather than wrapping around it. If yours is a determined chewer, supervise the first hour.
Yes, though they wear faster on pavement and wet ground loosens the adhesive sooner. For indoor traction, take them off before long walks and they last considerably longer.
Email us within 30 days and we'll refund you. Check the size chart above carefully before ordering — measure the paw rather than going by breed.
Wet the paw and wait about a minute for the pad to soften, then peel it away. Never pull them off dry — that's what pulls at the paw.
Owners commonly use them during recovery, when one slip on a smooth floor is the real worry. Check with your vet first if there's a wound or dressing near the paw. These are a traction aid, not a medical device.
Yes. Plenty of owners only pad the back paws, since that's usually where the sliding starts. You can also cut a single pad into five pieces and apply one to each individual toe pad — useful for smaller paws or awkward shapes.
No — the grip face is soft silicone, softer than the nails it's replacing contact with.

Intended use. Our pads are a traction aid for everyday use on smooth indoor flooring. They are not a medical device and we make no medical claims. They don't treat, cure or prevent arthritis, injury or any other condition. If your dog has a wound or has suddenly become unsteady, speak to your vet — sudden loss of coordination can signal something needing attention.
